February 18, 2007 is New Year's Day, according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar used by millions all over the world together with the Gregorian calendar. And according to the Chinese almanac, the year is 4704 and a Year of the Red Fire Pig.

The fat, happy Pig is the 'laughing Buddha' of the Chinese Zodiac signs; naturally pleased, whatever he does.

He likes his creature comforts; is sensual in all endeavours. Tolerant, compassionate, generous, - he has difficulty controlling his passions but hides neither faults, mistakes, nor his self-indulgence.

Egocentric, chaotic, destructive at times, one of Pig's essential drives is his love for freedom and beauty. The eternal optimist, his attitude is, "Don't worry, be happy".

To forecast the luck in the coming years, we have to know what elements and animals are in our birth chart first.

The past three years, Monkey 2004, Rooster 2005 and Dog 2006 are Metal cycles. Year of Red Pig 2007 is the beginning year of the Water cycle. Therefore the coming three years are favorable to people whose lucky element is Water.

That's means the fighting relationship between Snake and Pig is not that serious. The conclusion is that most of people born in year of Pig don't have unyielding argument with others. 2007 is the year of  Female Red Pig. Red is equivalent to Fire in Five Element theory. The major element in Pig is Water. Fire and Water are opposite elements.
