Numerology Forecast for 2008

2008 is a #1 SUN year, expanding the universal principle of partnership and collaboration.  The Sun depicts the life force and the unlimited energy within us wanting to be expressed.  It is the inner dance of cosmic creativity of tapping into the unlimited reservoirs of our LIGHT potential.  Integrating the Sun is both, a magnetic and dynamic process, allowing us to experience the unlimited aspects of who we are.  A year of being natural generators, motivators and activators within our personal and collective psyche.  Major changes to our affluent lifestyles are imminent, and we can only negotiate and apply all that needs to be done - together! Teamwork requires trust and implementing a shared vision.  There is a growing awareness that humans are part of a vast ecology of energy that includes the Sun and planets within our solar system, and perhaps even beyond.  The heavens communicate with us all the time, through our dreams, symbols, myths, and imagery that arises in our personal and collective unconscious. Our Sun generates LIGHT that interacts with the earth's geomagnetic field and creates profound influences to our weather, mood, chemical balance, and even the fine tune senses of our intuition and psychic abilities.  It is not a leap to say that the Sun - 93,000,000 miles away influences our primary centres of the heart and brain in surprisingly vibrant ways.

2008 is a year of Soul activation!  It will take nothing less than Soul to be present in the human experience.  2008 as a #1 year, ruled by the Sun, the celestial luminary Emperor of the Universe, who acts as the yang grounding force in the all presiding essence.  It is Surya's invitation for all of us to awaken to the nobility and splendour of our Souls, our Spirit selves, to now step into service of the LIGHT with more courage and totality. Commitment is essential, ambiguity in any form will not do.

2008 comprised of the numbers 2 for the Moon, 00 for the Cosmic Void and 8 for Lord Saturn.  It is about raising the energy frequencies of feelings and emotions while at the same time staying grounded in the reality at hand.  Either or is not an option.  It comes down to this:  We approach our divinity through the heart and not the head.  One's intellect can encompass vast amounts of information and knowledge.  We can study all the words of our prophets and scholars, but if we are not expressing the heart virtues, we have only filled our heads with words, concepts, and intellectual bravado.  Our behaviours remain tethered to the baser instincts, and while we may write or speak profound insights, our emotional energies remain agitated, uncertain of their expression from moment to moment, and unguided by the intelligent voice of our heart.

Even with all our evolutionary trajectories of the past involving technology, science, economics, medicine and most any other category of human endeavour, we will see that unless human emotion evolves parallel, in some instances these ground breaking discoveries actually lead to a devolution.  How we manage our emotions and more importantly how we orchestrate them in order to enhance our understanding of life and intuitive perception, has changed very little since the dawn of civilisation.

Living from the heart and co-ordinating our emotions while remaining sensible, practical, honest and in integrity with our true heart values, are the components for better living and not just for ourselves, but the entire extended global community.

This new cycle will being Jan1st. in the nakshatra of "Chitra", a Mars ruled energy empowering magic and miracles in our outlook and new beginnings.  In the now completed # 9 /2007 cycle we were all propelled to let go of something, or someone, or multiples of that re attitude and actualities. Some we release reluctantly,  as we are all quite attached to "our " way. So the reverberations of "let go what needs to be let go off" is what creates the opening for the new.  And we are indeed at a pivotal beginning. With Jupiter the archer, still in optimistic Sagittarius, we need to aim our bow in diamond clarity  - at the Sun/Soul aspect of our beings. Jupiter is joyful, expansive, the super optimist and wants us all to have a fulfilling lifestyle - yet with spiritual and heart values intact and not at the expense of the common good. We can aspire to the success we envision and bury all that held us back or chained.

A commentary by Hazrat Inayat Khan says this:

An unsuccessful man often keeps success away by the impression of his former failures.

It is said in the Scriptures, 'The present is the reflection of the past, and the future is the re-echo of the present.' Destiny is not what is already made. Destiny is what we are making. Very often fatalists think that we are in the hands of destiny, driven in whatever direction in life destiny wills; but in point of fact we are the masters of our destiny, especially from the moment we begin to realise this fact. ... destiny means the materialisation of man's own thought. Man is responsible for his success and failure, for his rise and fall. And it is man who brings these about either knowingly or unknowingly.

Many there are who see no prospects before them in life. Does that mean that the world, the universe, is so poor that it cannot provide for all their need? There is abundance, but by thinking continually that there is no way out of it, a person becomes fixed in his thoughts and brings about despair.

When man is thinking or feeling, he is at the same time emitting what he thinks or feels as a fragrance. He is creating around himself an atmosphere, which expresses it. And it not only conveys to another his thought and feeling, but it creates for him an answer. ... You will always find that those who say, 'Everything is going wrong with me', are hearing the voice aloud; it is their own failure talking to them. As soon as they have been able to silence this voice, the failure is ended; a new page in the book of life turned, and they can look forward to their life with a greater courage and a greater hope. That person is brave who in the face of a thousand failures can stand up and say, 'Now I am not going to fail. The failure was only a preparation for my success.' That is the right spirit.

And now, if in 2008 you talk the talk and do not walk the walk, you will loose credibility. We need to prepare to work harder for the things and people we truly value, from a belly sense of a genuine heart connection, infused by the higher mind. Because if we keep running away from our commitments and responsibilities, we are actually running away from our heart. It has the wisdom to see us into the truth, simplicity and love that will need to be enacted for the health and wealth for all.

The danger lies in becoming hard hearted if we have been operating through the intellect and self gain schemes, not true to the dharmic principles of the universal law. There is a battle going on between what is spiritual truth and what is worldly power. Don't sell out. We have to take a stand and generate from the heart as everything we think and do will have long-term repercussions for the next 9 years anyhow.

The Moon #2 is about water, all fluids within our body and bhumi - the earth, the Moon is the mannas, the mind, the mother, the feminine, receptive principle being reflected in the truth of all that we think, do and are.  WATER IS THE ULTIMATE HEALER.  The energetic frequencies of feelings and emotions are directly related to water.  The preciousness of water will dawn upon us as the nations around the world will engage in real water wars that will start to escalate in 2009. It is vitally important to understand the deeper perceptions of our interconnection hence this being a cycle of partnership and personal and collective co-operation in joined efforts to raise awareness how each one of us is connected to the whole of life.  Now it is a matter of taking responsibility for the emotional and mental energies that intertwine within our energetic field and contribute to the balance of the earth itself.  Our emotional health creates an emotional resonance, and its transmission, ruled by the moon,  the subsequent potency expressing itself in our words and actions.  If you desire to achieve emotional self-mastery in a way that accelerates global evolution gracefully and naturally, then "living from the heart" is an excellent path to walk.  The moon energy being the prime energy influencing our psyche/mind needs to refine the three subtle desires that stand behind everything we work to achieve.  We are all addicted on some level to: instant gratification, control, and the next thing around the corner.   The moon being the principle of the Divine Mother, ever benevolent and ever reflecting personal and collective truth, extends the compassionate possibility for all of us to practice living in the LIGHT of our highest possibilities!  More kindness.  More compassion.  More forgiveness.  More emotional intelligence.  More humility. More generosity.  Choices.  One can make a lot of choices in a 24 hour period.  Wise choices.  Challenging choices.  The great dancer Martha Graham said this:  "I believe that we learn by practice.  Whether it means to learn a dance by practising dancing or to learn to live by practising living, the principles are the same.  In each it is the performance of a dedicated precise set of acts, physical, emotional and intellectual, from which comes the shape of achievement, a sense of functioning as a Whole, experience a satisfaction of spirit.  One becomes, in some area, an athlete of God.  Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire.  Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired."  The moon's inherent core attribute is about Peace.  Peace.  We need to look at our world and speak the word aloud, Peace.  We need to look at each other more often and then into ourselves saying without shyness or apology or hesitation:  Peace.  Peace my brother, Peace my sister, Peace my soul! And let it be a " heartfelt " experience, from Soul to Soul.

"00" in the 2008, is about spiritual purification in all realms.  The "0" represents the Void, the endless beginning, the circle of life and death.  Examining your inner sanctuary of who and what lives there?  Who and what are you ready to let go of and who and what are you drawing closer in this new cycle?  What precisely is your request and affirmation to the universe?  By living from the heart, what are the virtues that now need to be cultivated from your inner most Soul essence?  Loving kindness, compassion, forgiveness, understanding, humility and generosity are all based on right thinking and heart felt action in our daily lives.  This will produce the energetic heart, override the fear and base emotions of our addictions and open the portal to the Soul.  The intellect cannot be our ruler with two "00's" in a year's cycle.  This we will have re-enforced to us by Saturn, the trouble shooter. Saturn is the #8 guy in the dharmic/karmic play of our new cycle.  Saturn knows if we have been naughty or nice.  If we have been naughty and too self absorbed (the main cause of personal and collective suffering in the KALI yuga), we may need another course in the university of life.  Saturn is the most intense teacher.  Saturn forces reality.  His credo is "serve or suffer".  This karma Lord necessitates focus, discipline and hard work.  He is about limits and boundaries, yours and others.  Asylums, prisons and hospitals.  Taxes and longevity.  He is Yama - the ruler of death.  He is the most intimidating energy in the Hindu Pantheon.  He wants to help us to wake up and see it as it is, giving us new determination to look at our greed, contaminated food chain, the haphazard ecology driven by by profit and ruthless corporations that neglect the well being of the planet and the very Heart of life at large. He encourages hard work and drives us toward accepting our challenges more willingly thereby making the impossible, possible.  He insists on patience, realism, governed by facts, objectivity and overall has a serious quality to his purpose.  He will make fools suffer gladly.  He has definite rules of moral and ethical conduct.  His scrutiny will be relentless.

Saturn is the planet of listening and of patience. What have you been listening to? That is the question, Who knows the peace of silence? Is anyone really listening to their innermost voice and thoughts? This is a year when New Years resolutions will have to be lived up to. This is a serious and responsible time. It is easy to get depressed at this time of year. Depression is an insult and profanity to the Soul. There is a need to establish a renewed effort in pursuing spiritual disciplines. There is a deep need to work hard and regularly to increase depth. There is an even stronger challenge to be quiet, patient and listen. The thoughts that come into your mind when you are alone, that is your karma. Actions will follow thoughts!

Live simply so others may simply live is Saturns message. He is just and he gives us the wisdom to become one collective heart stream to bring about this huge LIGHT transformation awaiting humankind.
 
In summary, if we add all these numbers we have this promising #1 cycle.  We are at a threshold of human potential, with many interesting discoveries.  2008 delivers an extra potency by having lived through 2007, the #9 cycle with its many radical completions, now stepping up to a #1 LIGHT cycle.  2008 offers a realisation that we are LIGHT beings, all capable of giving and receiving love.  Love is an infinite task and an infinite play!  One of the revolutionary principles that may aid us is the scientific evidence of the empathy neurone.  Neuroscientist Ramachandra (also written up in Al Gore's book), claims that we are all wired for connection, feel each other's feelings and are desirous of exchanging empathy and compassion in this journey of being truly Human.  These are mirror neurones ( as I am you and you are me and we are in this all together ), and evolution wants us to dissolve the barriers between self and others.  Now! We all need to clear the toxic content of our minds and the somatic rejuvenation process will follow.  As within - so without! Connect with and be the high minded persons that we know ourselves to be in our inner most essence.  Live from SOUL. Discharge the rage of frustration and spiritual discontent through service, service, service.  Don't waste time with narcissistic people and pursuits.  Let's all activate our "Dalai Lama" cells and give one another "Soul" joy to boost each other's goodness and LIGHT capacities.

And who has the mind of all the world under his control.

Oh God of gods,
Who is source of light,
Who makes the day,
Who removes darkness,
Who has fearful rays,
And who is the creator of the morn,
Please give me long life,
Health, wealth, knowledge
And I salute you.

I don't have anybody to seek refuge,
Except thee, Oh great God,
So please have mercy upon me,
And protect me again and again.

Thus ends the great prayer called Adithya Hridhayam,
