The
Relationship between Houses and Roads
There
is a direct relationship between houses and the roads
that connect them. It has a significant effect on the
well-being and the fortunes of the occupants of those
houses. This is caused by Ch'i the all-encompassing
life-giving force that permeates the universe. If
allowed to flow freely, the Ch'i energy is positive. If
allowed to stagnate, this energy becomes negative. It
becomes very harmful when channelled too quickly along
straight paths.

|

|
| House
Facing a T-junction: |
-
The
Situation
When a house faces a T-junction, it is
like a gun being pointed straight at the
house. The T-junction acts like a funnel
drawing negative energies towards the
house.
-
The
Effects
The occupants of such a house could suffer
from poor health and may be
accident-prone.
-
The
Solution
If possible, reposition the front door so
that it does not directly face the road
running up to it. If this is not possible,
a low fence or a hedge should be built
with a gate as a barrier to the negative
energies. Alternatively, a mirror can be
placed above the door to deflect the
negative energies away from the house.
|
| When
a House is at a Crossroads or a Fork |
|
|
| House
at Crossroads or a Fork: |
-
The
Situation
When a house is positioned at crossroads
or at a fork, there is a scissor effect,
with negative energies cutting into the
tranquillity within the house.
-
The
Effects
There will be a tendency towards minor
accidents around the house.
-
The
Solution
Change the position of the door so that it
does not directly face the roads leading
up to it. Alternatively, a low fence or a
hedge should be built around the house,
with a gate to serve as a barrier to
counter the negative energies.
|
| When
a Road Runs up to a House at an Angle |
|
|
| Road
Running up to a House at an Angle: |
-
The
Situation
A road runs up to the house at an angle.
-
The
Effects
Money tends to drain away from the house.
If this road comes from the right hand
side, the female occupants of the house
will be accident-prone. Conversely, if the
road comes from the left hand side, the
male occupants will be accident-prone.
-
The
Solution
Try to reposition the door so that it
faces away from the road leading up to it.
Alternatively, build a low fence with a
gate as a barrier against the negative
energies. Or you could place a mirror on
the outside walls of the house to deflect
the negative energies.

Two Roads Run up to a House |
|
|
| Two
Roads Running up to a House: |
-
The
Situation
Two roads meet in front of a house,
leading up to it at an angle.
-
The
Effects
Both male and female occupants of this
house could suffer ill-health and will
bicker over financial matters.
-
The
Solution
A porch with an outer door could be built
to block the negative energies. One should
avoid leaving both doors open at the same
time. Alternatively, the direction of the
main door could be changed so that it
faces away from the two approaching roads.
Another option is to build a low fence
with a gate to prevent negative energies
from coming in.

-
The
Situation
The house faces a busy road or motorway.
-
The

occupants of this house and they will find
it difficult to save.
-
The
Solution
Change the position of the front door,
moving it to the side if possible.
Alternatively a fence or a hedge with a
gate should be put in place. Or the
threshold could be raised by two inches
and a mirror placed above the door to
deflect negative energies.

|
|
| House
at Right Angles to an L-shaped Road: |
-
The
Situation
A house is positioned squarely at right
angles to an L-shaped road.
-
The
Effects
The effect is like a knife cutting into
the house. This 'knife' cuts down both
money and fortunes of the occupants and
makes them accident-prone.
-
The
Solution
Change the position of the front door,
moving it to the side if possible. Failing
this, a barrier such as a gate or a hedge
should be built between the house and the
road. Or you could try raising the
threshold and placing a mirror above the
door.

| When
a House is Opposite an L-shaped Road |
|
|
| House
Opposite an L-shaped Road: |

inverted L-shaped road.
-
The

attract a regular stream of people

deflect the problem. Or, you could try
raising the threshold a bit.

inch.

accident-prone. Lethargy and poor health are
some other ill effects that result from this
situation.
-
The
Solution
Place a convex mirror on the front wall of
the house to reflect the image of the gap.
As an added measure, you could raise the
threshold by about two inches. This will
prevent the negative energies from coming
in.
|
| When
a House Faces an Extension |
|
|
| House
Facing an Extension: |
-
The
Situation
The wing or the extension of a house
opposite points directly at the main door
of the house.
- The
Effects
The situation resembles a knife pointed
directly at the heart. The negative energy
is bad for the heart.
-
The
Solution

up, under the threshold in a line parallel
with the door. Alternatively, you could
place a convex mirror on the outside wall
of the house to reflect the negative
energies away from the house.
