Q. After moving into a new house, things have not been working fine for me. In fact, I have been feeling rather depressed and short-tempered. Can Vaastu/Feng Shui provide a solution?

— Ranveer S, Noida

A. There is a possibility that your house may have a problem. Each house has its own energy. Let me explain this with an example: Do you instantly feel good when you enter a home or office? There is something about that place that makes you feel good inside and vice versa. This is nothing but your reaction to the energies of the property. Or, it could be that you are not aligned well and hence feel depressed. There is a toilet in the northeastern area of your house. Shift it to the northwest. Set-up your puja-room in the northeast. This will help you.

Q. My wife is getting sick frequently. Is there anything remedial we can do about our flat?

— Name withheld

A. Place a metal board below her pillow. Don’t put electronic or gift items inside the bed box and clear the clutter, if any. You can also place metallic Wu-Lou by your bedside.

Q. I live in a joint family. I don’t get good vibes from my in-laws. They are forever creating disharmony in my married life. Is there any cure in Vaastu and Feng Shui for this?

— Name withheld

A. There are many ways in Vaastu and Feng Shui to protect you from evil in-laws. One of them is to hang a Chinese emperor’s sword or swastika symbol above the door of your bedroom. You can also put crystal pencils in a glass or ceramic bowl on the bedside table.
